1.Who provides legal services

When your matter requires legal advice, representation, or a filing, you engage an independent immigration attorney who is licensed and in good standing with a U.S. state bar. That attorney — not VisaSherpa.ai — is your counsel of record and is responsible for the legal work on your case.

2.Attorney credentials & jurisdiction

Immigration law is federal, so a licensed U.S. attorney may represent clients before USCIS regardless of the client's state of residence. Each engagement letter identifies your attorney by name and bar number. Participating attorneys maintain active licensure and required continuing legal education in their licensing jurisdiction(s).

3.How to verify an attorney

You can independently verify any attorney's license and standing through the relevant state bar's public lookup tool. The attorney's name and bar number are provided in your engagement letter for this purpose. If you cannot locate a record or have concerns, contact us before proceeding.

4.Professional responsibility

Participating attorneys are bound by the rules of professional conduct of their licensing jurisdiction, including duties of competence, confidentiality, and loyalty. Attorney-client privilege attaches between you and your attorney upon execution of the engagement letter.
